Excerpts from the Bolton Public Safety Logs. Please note, arrests are made based on probable cause but do not determine guilt or innocence until proven in court.
This week, police made nine motor vehicle stops, resulting in one verbal warning, six citations, and no civil citations.
Other police activity: Police responded to five calls about motor vehicle accidents and four calls about disabled vehicles.
This week, 18 medical emergencies were reported. Fourteen people were transported to area hospitals, and two individuals refused transport.

12:40 a.m. SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
An officer performing property checks after dark checked on an occupied vehicle parked in the Forbush Mill Fields parking lot. The party was spoken to and sent on their way.
8:24 a.m. FD-MEDICAL EMERGENCY
An officer responded to South Bolton Road to assist Bolton Fire-EMS at a medical 911 call. One person was transported to a local hospital.
11:49 a.m. MOTOR VEHICLE COMPLAINT
A 911 caller reported an erratic operator on Main Street. An officer responded, but the vehicle in question was gone before they arrived and could not be located.
1:31 p.m. TREE/WIRE DOWN
A caller reported a tree down in the roadway on Wheeler Road. An officer responded, and National Grid was notified to remove it.
2:01 p.m. ANIMAL CALL
An officer on patrol was flagged down by a party to report a lost dog. The Animal Control Officer was notified and later located and reunited the dog with its owner.
2:18 p.m. PROPERTY FOUND OR LOST
A walk-in party at the police station reported finding a delivery package in the roadway. An officer logged the item and attempted to contact the residence where the package was intended for delivery.
6:19 p.m. FD-MEDICAL EMERGENCY
Officers responded to the 911 report of a party experiencing a mental health issue. The party had exited a vehicle and was on foot. Officers searched the area specified and were able to locate the individual. Bolton Fire-EMS was requested to respond, and one party was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
6:51 p.m. ANIMAL CALL
A 911 caller reported an unknown horse in their backyard. The Animal Control Officer was notified; they determined the animal’s owner and contacted them to retrieve it.
7:53 p.m. PROPERTY RETURNED
A walk-in party arrived at the police station to pick up found property. An officer assisted and the property was returned.

2:07 a.m. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
An officer responded as mutual aid to the Northborough Police to assist with an arrest booking.
8:55 a.m. MOTOR VEHICLE DISABLED
An officer responded to a report of a disabled vehicle: a truck with a broken axle pulling a trailer and blocking an intersection of Still River Road and Main Street. The Department of Public Works assisted an officer with detouring traffic, and the vehicle was towed.
10:59 a.m. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
An officer assisted Franklin Police in locating and retrieving property related to an incident in that community, from a residence in Bolton.
12:07.m. WELL BEING CHECK
A caller reported that an unknown person and vehicle had pulled into their driveway, inquiring about a neighbor. An officer responded to Bare Hill Road, located the involved person, and determined it was a home health aide who had been at the wrong address. The involved party was directed to the correct address, and the reporting resident’s well-being was checked.
1:07 p.m. FD-MEDICAL EMERGENCY
A caller reported that a person in the Bolton Bean parking lot appeared to be experiencing a medical issue; a fall with a head injury. An officer responded and located the involved person. Bolton Fire-EMS responded, and an officer discovered the involved party may have also struck a vehicle in the parking lot. One person was transported, an officer took a report, and the Animal Control Officer was notified to assist with a small dog in the involved party’s vehicle.
1:44 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE COMPLAINT
A caller reported a vehicle on Wattaquadock Hill Road operating too slowly. An officer responded and located them but observed no issues with their operation.
4:15 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE COMPLAINT
Officers responded to the 911 report of a possible road rage incident on Main Street. The vehicles were reported to have collided while traveling westbound, and occupants were seen arguing at the side of the road. The parties were separated and spoken to. Officers determined that one party had allegedly thrown a metal coffee cup at the other involved vehicle, causing damage. An officer took a report, both vehicles remained operable with minor damage, and both operators were sent separately on their way. One party will be summoned for a property destruction charge.

2:50 A.M. FD-MEDICAL EMERGENCY
An officer responded to assist Bolton Fire-EMS at a medical 911 call; one person was transported to the hospital.
7:33 a.m. ANIMAL CALL
A caller reported a possible rabid deer in the area; the Animal Control Officer was notified.
7:50 a.m. MOTOR VEHICLE LOCKOUT
A caller reported being locked out of the car with their dog inside. An officer responded to Kettle Hole Road and was able to gain entry.
8:12 a.m. PROPERTY DAMAGE
A caller reported they hit a mailbox with their vehicle on Spectacle Hill Road. An officer responded and took a report.
5:03 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE PARKING VIOLATION
An officer issued a citation to a vehicle parked in the fire lane at Nashoba Regional High School.
5:17 p.m. PROPERTY – FOUND OR LOST
An officer spoke with a Police Department from Florida to arrange the return of property that their agency recovered that belongs to a Bolton resident.
8:47 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT
An officer responded to a motor vehicle accident with a deer on Main Street. The vehicle remained operable, but the deer was deceased. Notifications were made for removal, and a report was taken.

7:48 a.m. WELL BEING CHECK
An officer performed a well-being check on a party who had sent an online message to the department requesting to have their house checked overnight due to unusual sounds heard. The officer spoke with the reporting party and determined there was no emergency. The resident had not initiated the message; an acquaintance had done it. All involved parties were advised to call via phone for future incidents requiring immediate response.
9:46 a.m. SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller reported that an employee had received an inappropriate phone call. An officer responded to the Bolton Bean, took a report, and is investigating.
1:45 p.m. ILLEGAL DUMPING
A caller reported a pile of mulch found in the roadway. An officer responded to Quail Run Road and determined the roadway was still accessible to emergency vehicles and that the mulch would be removed.
3:18 p.m. SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller reported that a suspicious-looking male was crouched by trees alongside the road. Officers responded to the area of Wilder and Old Bay Roads, located and identified the involved party, and determined there were no issues; it was a Clinton resident walking home.
3:31 p.m. TREE/WIRE DOWN
A caller reported a tree down across wires. An officer responded to the intersection of Old Bay and Randall Roads and found the roadway still passable. National Grid was notified to remove it.
5:14 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT
Officers responded to the report of a two-car accident on Main Street by Fox Run Road. Both vehicles were towed, and Bolton Fire-EMS transported one person to the hospital. One operator was issued a bylaw violation for an Open Container Of Marijuana in a Motor Vehicle and will also receive a summons for Transporting More Than Two Ounces.

1:48 a.m. FD-MEDICAL EMERGENCY
An officer responded to Pondside Road to assist Bolton Fire- EMS at a medical 911 call; one person was transported by mutual aid ambulance.
2:23 a.m. SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A 911 caller reported observing a suspicious person in their backyard at night. Officers responded to Wattaquadock Hill Road and checked the area and surrounding roadways, but could not locate them. A report was taken.
11:29 a.m. FD-MEDICAL LIFT
An officer responded to Still River Road to assist Bolton Fire-EMS at a medical 911 call; one person was transported to an area hospital.
12:05 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT
Officers responded to a two-car crash on Main Street at the I-495 northbound ramps. An eastbound vehicle passed through a red light, striking a westbound vehicle turning onto the I-495 onramp. An officer took a report and issued a citation to the operator of the eastbound vehicle. There were no reported injuries or tows needed.
4:17 p.m., FOLLOW UP
An officer responded to an incident of illegal dumping at the Transfer Station, reported by the Department of Public Works. The officer investigated, took a report, and attempted to contact the responsible party.
5:40 p.m. AUDIBLE ALARM
A caller reported hearing an alarm in the building at Bolton Country Manor. An officer responded to investigate and contacted property maintenance. They determined there was no emergency; the alarm was coming from a battery in an elevator. A repair company was contacted.
9:42 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE DISABLED An officer responded to Main Street following the report of a disabled car in the roadway. The party was changing a tire; no additional services were required.
11:53 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE STOP
An officer responded as mutual aid to assist with an arrest in Clinton.

2:19 a.m. MOTOR VEHICLE STOP
An officer initiated a motor vehicle stop for a speeding car and discovered the driver and occupants were unlicensed juveniles. Their parents were contacted; an officer took a report and is investigating.
9:18 a.m. GENERAL INFO
An officer removed several soliciting signs posted by the roadside around town because they violated a town bylaw.
5:34 p.m. SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
A caller reported someone had placed dig-safe flags in her yard, and an officer spoke with them.
7:03 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE COMPLAINT
A caller reported observing a male party urinate in the roadway, then get into their vehicle and drive off, striking a road sign, before continuing eastbound on Main Street. Officers responded to check the area and notified nearby agencies. Harvard Police subsequently located the vehicle in question. An officer took a report regarding the property damage, and charges will follow.
9:06 p.m. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
An officer responded as mutual aid to assist Harvard Police with an arrest.
11:37 p.m. DISTURBANCE
Officers responded along with Lancaster Police to the report of a loud party disturbance at an Oak Trail residence. Although several people had already dispersed before the officers’ arrival, the remaining parties were spoken to, and the disturbance stopped.

2:16 p.m. TREE/WIRE DOWN
An officer responded to the report of a wire down on Still River Road. Comcast was contacted, and responded to repair it.
3:04 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT
Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on McNulty Road. A car hit a pole. Berlin Police assisted with road closures while the vehicle was removed. The car was towed. No injuries were reported. The officer took a report, and National Grid was notified to repair the pole.
4:59 p.m. BURGLARY – BREAK & ENTERING
An officer responded as mutual aid to Harvard to assist with the arrest and search of persons possibly involved with a Breaking and Entering incident in that town.
8:01 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT
An officer responded as mutual aid to Harvard to assist with a motor vehicle crash involving a deer. The officer took a report, and the vehicle remained operable.
