Bolton’s Conservation agent Rebecca Bucciaglia (picture at right above) attended an event at Leominster City Hall on Thursday Aug. 1 with Governor Healey and Secretary Tepper for an announcement regarding Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Grants and the administration’s commitment to climate resilience.   Bolton’s Land Use Administrative Assistant Lauren Ducat was in attendance, as well.

The Town of Bolton was approved for an MVP program Action Grant award in the amount of $488,824 for the project titled “Future Resilient Field at Derby.”

The Conservation Commission describes the project as “an interdisciplinary effort by the Town of Bolton to implement climate resiliency practices at Derby Field. This FY24 MVP Program Action Grant will fund preliminary design specific to the rehabilitation and expansion of the existing Derby Field located off of Mechanic Street.”
