- This week police made five motor vehicle stops that resulted in three verbal warnings, one citation, and one towed vehicle.
- Other police activity: Police responded to four motor vehicle accidents, four calls regarding improper driving, and one disabled vehicle.
- Thirteen medical emergencies were reported this week. Seven people were transported to area hospitals; one individual refused treatment or transport.

A caller from Danforth Lane reported a neighborhood dog killed their rabbit on a prior day; the Animal Control Officer was notified.
10:15 a.m. JUVENILE PROBLEM
The Student Resource Officer took an initial report of a juvenile concern from the Nashoba Regional High School staff. The matter was referred to Lancaster Police for further investigation.
3:15 p.m. REQUEST TO SPEAK TO AN OFFICER
A walk-in party at the police station reported a possible restraining order violation. An officer spoke to the individual, took a report, and is investigating.
10:25 a.m. FD-MEDICAL EMERGENCY
Officers responded with Bolton Fire-EMS to Bolton Orchards for a report of an older male party who fell. When officers arrived on the scene it was confirmed that the person who had fallen had already left.

A caller reported two juveniles riding 4-wheeler all-terrain vehicles on the street, near Quail Run Road. Officers were dispatched, but the vehicles in question were gone before their arrival.
9:11 a.m. ANIMAL CALL
A caller reports a rooster has been on their property on Sugar Road for a week; the Animal Control Officer was notified.
10:44 a.m. MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT
An officer witnessed a minor motor vehicle accident occur on East End Road; the officer stopped to assist, but one vehicle fled the scene. The area was searched by a second officer, who was unable to locate the vehicle, so they took a report. After an investigation, the vehicle that left the scene was located the following day at a Bolton residence and its operator was identified. The operator was issued a summons for leaving the scene of a crash with property damage without identifying themself.

An occupied vehicle was located during overnight hours in the Florence Sawyer School parking lot. The officer spoke to the vehicle’s operator and they departed without incident.
1:22 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE STOLEN
A caller reported a stolen vehicle. Officers investigated and determined the vehicle was not stolen, it was with a family member. Officers also performed a well-being check; a report was taken.

6:16 a.m. ILLEGAL DUMPING
An officer took a report of the illegal dumping of a mattress on South Bolton Road. The Department of Public Works was advised, but they were unable to remove it as it was on private property with a “Free” sign on it.
6:30 a.m. 911 ABANDONED/MISDIAL/HANGUP
A wireless 911 call came from the area of the International Golf Club. Officers responded and checked the area, but found no emergency present. A 911 call from the same area occurred 3 additional times. Officers responded, and eventually located the individual in the middle of the golf course, “pocket dialing” 911. Officers confirmed there was no actual emergency.
9:12 a.m. ANIMAL CALL
Officers responded to Spectacle Hill Road with the report of a neighbor’s loose goats preventing the caller from being able to exit their home and hitting the door. The goats were rounded up and put in their pen and the Animal Control Officer was notified.
10:58 a.m. ANIMAL CALL
A caller reported hearing barking coming from a storm drain on Pondside Drive and believed a dog was possibly trapped inside. Officers responded and requested assistance from the Bolton Fire Department. The property was checked, and drain covers were removed around the property to investigate. The Animal Control Officer was notified and responded. Officers were unable to locate the animal, and no additional barking was heard. A trail camera was set up by a discharge pipe to monitor if wildlife may be entering.
1:28 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT
A 911 call regarding a two-car motor vehicle accident was reported on Main Street near Slater’s Restaurant. Officers responded, investigated and determined vehicle one was driving the wrong way, heading westbound in the eastbound lane causing another vehicle to swerve off the road to avoid it. Vehicle one then struck vehicle two, an eastbound truck pulling a trailer. Both operators declined medical assistance. The operator of vehicle one, a 55-year-old male from Salem, Mass., was arrested on probable cause of operating under the influence of drugs, with additional charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and for failing to keep a vehicle within marked lanes.

A caller reported hit-and-run damage to a utility pole on South Bolton Road. An officer responded and spoke to a witness who provided a vehicle description. During their investigation, they discovered the front plate and damaged components of a vehicle that struck the pole remained on the scene. The vehicle’s operator was identified and was issued a summons for leaving the scene of a crash with property damage without identifying themself and a marked lanes violation. National Grid was notified about damage to the utility pole.
9:59 p.m. WELL BEING CHECK
An officer was dispatched following a 911 call to do a well-being check on a female party observed walking on Wattaquadock Hill Road. The party was gone on arrival and officers were unable to locate her.
10:49 p.m. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
Officers checked the area at the request of the Massachusetts State Police, who advised of a vehicle that failed to stop on Interstate 495 and got off at the exit for Route 117. They were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

An officer checked on a suspicious vehicle on Sugar Road with its lights on and confirmed there was no emergency.
6:37 a.m. WELL BEING CHECK
A caller reported a male party walking on Main Street, headed eastbound with no shoes on. An officer responded and located the individual who had Kentucky identification. He stated that he was walking to Boston. The officer observed that there was no criminal activity evident, and the man declined any medical attention or further services. The officer provided voluntary transport of the individual across town to the town line.

Officers responded with Bolton Fire to a residential fire alarm activation on Moderator Way, the caller stated multiple alarms were going on and off. Officers confirmed there was no smoke or fire.
9:49 a.m.FD-MEDICAL EMERGENCY
Officers responded to a medical call reporting a party on the roadside on Main Street with chest pain. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of the Bolton Bean, the person in the vehicle was unresponsive. Bolton Fire-EMS responded and transported the individual to the hospital.

A caller reported a tractor-trailer operating unsafely on Main Street. An officer located the vehicle, stopped on the southbound ramp to Interstate 495, and spoke with the operator. The operator was issued a written warning for speed.

A caller reported a truck on Main Street was dropping trash on the roadway. Officers responded but were unable to locate the vehicle.

An officer assisted with a Department of Children and Families investigation.

Bolton Police units assisted Lancaster Police with a motor vehicle crash and detoured westbound Route 117 traffic.

A caller from Danforth Lane reported a neighborhood dog killed their rabbit on a prior day; the Animal Control Officer was notified.
10:15 a.m. JUVENILE PROBLEM
The Student Resource Officer took an initial report of a juvenile concern from the Nashoba Regional High School staff. The matter was referred to Lancaster Police for further investigation.
3:15 p.m. REQUEST TO SPEAK TO AN OFFICER
A walk-in party at the police station reported a possible restraining order violation. An officer spoke to the individual, took a report, and is investigating.
10:25 a.m. FD-MEDICAL EMERGENCY
Officers responded with Bolton Fire-EMS to Bolton Orchards for a report of an older male party who fell. When officers arrived on the scene it was confirmed that the person who had fallen had already left.

8:53 a.m. RECREATIONAL VEHICLE COMPLAINT
A caller reported two juveniles riding 4-wheeler all-terrain vehicles on the street, near Quail Run Road. Officers were dispatched, but the vehicles in question were gone before their arrival.
9:11 a.m. ANIMAL CALL
A caller reports a rooster has been on their property on Sugar Road for a week; the Animal Control Officer was notified.
10:44 a.m. MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT
An officer witnessed a minor motor vehicle accident occur on East End Road; the officer stopped to assist, but one vehicle fled the scene. The area was searched by a second officer, who was unable to locate the vehicle, so they took a report. After an investigation, the vehicle that left the scene was located the following day at a Bolton residence and its operator was identified. The operator was issued a summons for leaving the scene of a crash with property damage without identifying themself.

1:35 a.m. BUILDING / LOCATION CHECK
An occupied vehicle was located during overnight hours in the Florence Sawyer School parking lot. The officer spoke to the vehicle’s operator and they departed without incident.
1:22 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE STOLEN
A caller reported a stolen vehicle. Officers investigated and determined the vehicle was not stolen, it was with a family member. Officers also performed a well-being check; a report was taken.

6:16 a.m. ILLEGAL DUMPING
An officer took a report of the illegal dumping of a mattress on South Bolton Road. The Department of Public Works was advised, but they were unable to remove it as it was on private property with a “Free” sign on it.
6:30 a.m. 911 ABANDONED/MISDIAL/HANGUP
A wireless 911 call came from the area of the International Golf Club. Officers responded and checked the area, but found no emergency present. A 911 call from the same area occurred 3 additional times. Officers responded, and eventually located the individual in the middle of the golf course, “pocket dialing” 911. Officers confirmed there was no actual emergency.
9:12 a.m. ANIMAL CALL
Officers responded to Spectacle Hill Road with the report of a neighbor’s loose goats preventing the caller from being able to exit their home and hitting the door. The goats were rounded up and put in their pen and the Animal Control Officer was notified.
10:58 a.m. ANIMAL CALL
A caller reported hearing barking coming from a storm drain on Pondside Drive and believed a dog was possibly trapped inside. Officers responded and requested assistance from the Bolton Fire Department. The property was checked, and drain covers were removed around the property to investigate. The Animal Control Officer was notified and responded. Officers were unable to locate the animal, and no additional barking was heard. A trail camera was set up by a discharge pipe to monitor if wildlife may be entering.
1:28 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT
A 911 call regarding a two-car motor vehicle accident was reported on Main Street near Slater’s Restaurant. Officers responded, investigated and determined vehicle one was driving the wrong way, heading westbound in the eastbound lane causing another vehicle to swerve off the road to avoid it. Vehicle one then struck vehicle two, an eastbound truck pulling a trailer. Both operators declined medical assistance. The operator of vehicle one, a 55-year-old male from Salem, Mass., was arrested on probable cause of operating under the influence of drugs, with additional charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and for failing to keep a vehicle within marked lanes.
1:32 p.m. PROPERTY DAMAGE
A caller reported hit-and-run damage to a utility pole on South Bolton Road. An officer responded and spoke to a witness who provided a vehicle description. During their investigation, they discovered the front plate and damaged components of a vehicle that struck the pole remained on the scene. The vehicle’s operator was identified and was issued a summons for leaving the scene of a crash with property damage without identifying themself and a marked lanes violation. National Grid was notified about damage to the utility pole.
9:59 p.m. WELL BEING CHECK
An officer was dispatched following a 911 call to do a well-being check on a female party observed walking on Wattaquadock Hill Road. The party was gone on arrival and officers were unable to locate her.
10:49 p.m. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY
Officers checked the area at the request of the Massachusetts State Police, who advised of a vehicle that failed to stop on Interstate 495 and got off at the exit for Route 117. They were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

12:42 a.m. SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
An officer checked on a suspicious vehicle on Sugar Road with its lights on and confirmed there was no emergency.
6:37 a.m. WELL BEING CHECK
A caller reported a male party walking on Main Street, headed eastbound with no shoes on. An officer responded and located the individual who had Kentucky identification. He stated that he was walking to Boston. The officer observed that there was no criminal activity evident, and the man declined any medical attention or further services. The officer provided voluntary transport of the individual across town to the town line.
9:22 a.m. FD-FIRE ALARM
Officers responded with Bolton Fire to a residential fire alarm activation on Moderator Way, the caller stated multiple alarms were going on and off. Officers confirmed there was no smoke or fire.
9:49 a.m.FD-MEDICAL EMERGENCY
Officers responded to a medical call reporting a party on the roadside on Main Street with chest pain. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of the Bolton Bean, the person in the vehicle was unresponsive. Bolton Fire-EMS responded and transported the individual to the hospital.
10:59 a.m. MOTOR VEHICLE COMPLAINT
A caller reported a tractor-trailer operating unsafely on Main Street. An officer located the vehicle, stopped on the southbound ramp to Interstate 495, and spoke with the operator. The operator was issued a written warning for speed.
1:28 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE COMPLAINT
A caller reported a truck on Main Street was dropping trash on the roadway. Officers responded but were unable to locate the vehicle.

An officer assisted with a Department of Children and Families investigation.

Bolton Police units assisted Lancaster Police with a motor vehicle crash and detoured westbound Route 117 traffic.

A 911 call reported wires down on Green Road; Officers responded and requested National Grid and Verizon respond. The Department of Public Works placed barricades to temporarily close the road.
