Support the Play for Will Fundraiser
The 3rd Annual Play for Will basketball game is between the Central MA Spartans Special Olympics program out of Bolton, and staff from Nashoba Regional High School. This year’s game is on Friday, May 15, at NRHS, 12 Green Rd., Bolton. The game raises money for the Tecumseh Foundation and the Jimmy Fund, while our athletes experience the once-a-year opportunity to showcase their skills for a large crowd.

WALKING ON FRIDAYS IN MAY
The Bolton Trail Committee invites all to a series of walks that will be held on Fridays this month: May 15, May 22 and May 29. The walks will start at 9 a.m. from the upper parking lot of Town Hall, where directions will be given to the properties where the walk will take place. Walks will last from 1 to 2 hours and will be held in good and fair weather, but cancelled in the event of a steady, heavy rain. Parking may be limited in some locations and carpooling will be arranged.

PERFORMANCE OF ‘THE SOUND OF MUSIC’
“The Sound of Music” will be performed at the Florence Sawyer School in Bolton by students from The Imago School on Friday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, available at the door, are $8 for adults, $5 students and senior citizens, and $25 for a family. BOLTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY BOLTON GERANIUM SALE
The Bolton Historical Society will hold its annual Bolton geranium sale at Sawyer House, 676 Main St. in Bolton, on Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. until they are all sold out. HELD MEMORIAL WORK PARTY
Volunteers are invited to a work party at Bowers Springs Conservation area off Harvard Road on Saturday, May 16, from 8 a.m. to noon. This event, in memory of Rob Held, will help continue the landscape improvements that he envisioned at Bowers Springs. Volunteers will work on invasive plant removal and maintenance of the field edges and are asked to bring work gloves, hand clippers or loppers, a small hand saw, water, and bug repellant.

TUESDAY CONNECTIONS CELEBRATES SENIORS
Tuesday Connections is celebrating Senior Appreciation Month on May 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bolton Senior Center, 600 Main St. Friends of Bolton Seniors and representatives from town organizations will lead a fun-filled game of charades, with prizes for all. STATE REP. OFFICE HOURS
State Representative Kate Hogan will host office hours in Bolton on Tuesday, May 19, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Bolton Public Library, 738 Main St. in Bolton. All are invited to stop by with any questions or ideas.

No appointment is necessary; meetings will be on a first come, first-served basis. Bolton Forum on Lyme Disease
Please join the Bolton Human Services & Safety Committee for an evening forum on Lyme disease education and prevention on  Wednesday, May 20 at 7pm in the Lois Alex room of the Houghton Building. Featuring an expert panel.

This event is open to the public & free of charge. Overflow parking available in the First Parish of Bolton Church on Main St and the school parking lot across Rt 117.  The forum will be televised on Bolton Access TV.

BOLTON DEMOCRATS CAUCUS AT THE LIBRARY
Democrats in Bolton will hold a caucus at the Bolton Public Library Program Room, 738 Main St., on Thursday, May 21, at 6 p.m. to elect 2 delegates and 3 alternates to the 2015 Massachusetts Democratic Convention, where Democrats from across the state will gather on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.

The caucus is open to all registered Democrats in Bolton (as of Jan. 31, 2015), and the Bolton Democratic Committee welcomes participants (vote for delegates, or run for delegate yourself). Delegates will be divided equally between men and women, and all ballots will be written and secret. Those not elected as delegate and/or alternate, who meet the qualifications, may apply to be add-on delegates in the categories of youth, minority, and disabled.

GET IT FIXED FOR FREE!
If you have a broken toaster or some clothes that need mending, don’t throw them away—get them fixed at the Repair Café! The Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley, with help from Bolton Local, will hold the next Bolton Repair Café Saturday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Davis Hall at the First Parish of Bolton Church, 673 Main St. Park and enter at the rear of the building.

Knowledgeable volunteers at the Repair Café will try to fix items for free. They can work on items such as small appliances, computers, lamps, bikes, jewelry, clothing, and outdoor power equipment They can also sharpen knives, scissors, and garden tools. You only pay for needed parts. If you know what parts are needed, please get them ahead of time and bring them to the Repair Café to save time. TECHNOLOGY HELP FOR SENIORS
In partnership with the Bolton Council on Aging, Bolton Girl Scout Troop 30496 is hosting an event for Senior Citizens at the Bolton Public Library on Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to noon. Senior citizens are invited to bring in their digital devices—phones, tablets, e-readers or laptops—for individual help with questions by knowledgeable Girl Scouts. All questions are welcome, and cookies will be served! CONCERT AT THE HEALING GARDEN
The Virginia Thurston Healing Garden, 145 Bolton Road in Harvard, announces the next “Concert at the Garden” on Sunday, May 17, at 3 p.m., featuring award-winning author Barbara Paul-Emile, who will read new poems and selections from her published collection of poetry, The Dance of Life: Poems for the Spirit. She will be accompanied by her husband and flutist, Serge Paul-Emile. Admission is $10 for Garden members, $15 for non-members (no pre-sale of tickets). TALK BY CONSULTING CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRIST
The Stow Parent-Teachers Organization and the Nashoba Special Education Parent Advisory Council, with support from Nashoba Regional School District’s Special Education Department, will present a lecture by Dr. Kimberlee Kusiak, consulting child and adolescent psychiatrist, Thursday, May 21, at 7 p.m. at the Hale Middle School auditorium, 55 Hartley Road in Stow.

The presentation will explain why some children are more emotionally reactive than their peers and explore the underlying neurology behind these emotions and behaviors.
