CORRECTION!
An incorrect version of the History column was inadvertently placed in this week’s/April 19 paper. Our apologies to the Historical Society who had updated their column, with the last paragraph correctly reading:
This year’s town meeting will be held on Monday, May 1st, 7:00 p.m. at the high school auditorium. The warrant contains fourteen articles and should be arriving by mail shortly. William Stone’s words written 147 years ago still ring true today, the right to vote is “the greatest political power conferred on men.”
