PAINTING EXHIBIT AT THE LIBRARY
Bolton Public Library, 738 Main St. in Bolton, will host an exhibit of abstract works by Bolton artist Brenda Evans from now to Aug. 29. The series features works created with an opalescent, reactive paint to which resin is applied, producing a glass-like shining finish. The collection called “Volcanic Action” brings to mind an awe-inspiring volcanic eruption with molten lava pouring through fissures in the earth. Other collections in the exhibit of colorful abstract images include “Summer Heat Wave” and “Fish Tails.” Evans is a member of Bolton Artisans Guild.
TOM DENNEY NATURE CAMP SPACE STILL AVAILABLE
Bolton Conservation Trust’s Tom Denney Nature Camp began July 7 at Bower Springs Conservation area for campers entering grades one through eight. There is room every week, but week 3 (July 21-25) has the most space, so prospective campers can sign up with friends. For more details, visit tdnc.boltonconservationtrust.org. MANGA LESSON AT THE LIBRARY
Veronica and Andy Fish of The Undercover Fish Group will have a 45 minute Manga Lesson on July 23 4:30-5:15 PM at the Bolton Public Library.

FRIENDS OF THE OXBOW NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE PROGRAMS
Saturday, July 13th at 8pm: WHO IS THERE? Come and find out what there is to see, hear and smell at the Oxbow at night. We will be helped by a FULL MOON.Bring a flashlight outfitted with a red light or cover your light with a piece of red cellophane. You will be surprised how easily your eyes adapt to the dark.
Meet at the parking lot at the entrance to the Oxbow NWR at the end of Still River Depot Road in Harvard. Wear sturdy footwear. Dress for the weather and the insects. Saturday, July 26th at 9am – Noon What Is A Turnpike Doing On The Refuge? We will walk along the Tank Trail enjoying the different habitats, sights, and sounds until we reach the Turnpike Trail. Why was this turnpike built here and by whom? Where did it go? Come and walk along history’s intriguing past and be part of nature at the same time. We will also cover the history of this national refuge during the walk along the Nashua River where much more history took place among the Native Americans, early settlers and the animals that now call this home. This is an easy walk which loops back to the parking lot and takes about one and a half hours. Families are welcome. Bring snacks, water, and insect repellant. Meet at the parking lot at the entrance to the Oxbow NWR at the end of Still River Depot Road in Harvard. Nashoba Community Partnership for Children invites you to join us this spring and summer as we GET OUTDOORS & EXPLORE! All ages are welcome.
At Randall Library, Stow, there will be a Teddy Bear Picnic on Wednesday, July 16, at 11am. Bring lunch, a blanket, and teddy bear, to participate in stories, songs, and activities. Held rain or shine. On Wednesday, August 13, at 10:30am, Explore Outdoors, as we take a walk and look closely at nature’s wonders. Children will use different magnifiers as they make new scientific discoveries.
On Thursday, July 31, at 11am, there will be a Teddy Bear Picnic at Lancaster’s Thayer Library, Main St., Lancaster Town Green. And on Thursday, August 21, at 10:30am, Lancaster hosts Explore Outdoors at the Thayer Library.
