SEEKING STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
The Nashoba Regional School District asks for the public’s help identifying all children in the community, ages 3 to 21, who may require special education or 504 services. Anyone aware of a child who has or may have an educational disability, who may not be known to the district, is asked to contact the Special Education Department at 978-779-0539, ext. 3013.

BOLTON LIONS DONUTS SALE
The Bolton Lions Club will be serving fresh donuts at Schartner Farms, 279 West Berlin Rd, every Saturday and Sunday from Sept 10 through Oct. 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is one of several fundraising activities that allows the Lions to help neighbors experiencing hardship, students seeking scholarships, doctors providing healthcare to the isolated and disadvantaged, and researchers seeking cures for Diabetes, glaucoma, and other diseases that rob people of sight. CHURCH WELCOMES ANIMALS AND PETS
The First Parish of Bolton, 673 Main St., will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis Assisi, patron saint of animals, at the 10 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Oct. 2. All are invited to bring their pets, animals, toy animals, or photos of beloved pets to be blessed. All live creatures, of course, should be suitably leashed or under control. The First Parish is a welcoming, ecumenical congregation.

BOLTON REPAIR CAFÉ
What do you do with a broken toaster or lamp? Or with a shirt or blouse with a seam that is ripped out? Toss it? No way! Bring them to the Bolton Repair Café. The Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley, with help from Bolton Local, will host the next Bolton Repair Café on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be held in the cafeteria of the Florence Sawyer School, 100 Mechanic St. in Bolton. (The school is located behind the Emerson School, which is on the same driveway/street.)
Bring items that need repair, and knowledgeable volunteers will help you try to fix them for free. The volunteers can work on items such as clean, mendable clothing; lamps; small appliances; computers and other electronics; bikes; toys; outdoor power equipment; and jewelry. They can also sharpen knives, scissors, and garden tools. You only pay for needed parts. If you know what parts are needed, please get them ahead of time and bring them to the Repair Café to save time.

BOLTON 5K AND FAMILY FESTIVAL
Whether you’re a runner, a walker, or just someone who wants to support the Bolton community and the effort to build our Town Common, please join the Bolton Conservation Trust for the Bolton 5K and Family Festival on Saturday, Oct. 8, starting at 10 a.m. at Schartner Farm. The 5K will be followed by the Common Craze Corn Maze, a one-mile race around Schartner’s Corn Maze for kids age 10 and under. The family festival will also begin at 11 a.m., with kids’ games, corn maze races, hay rides, petting zoo, music from DJ Joel Bates, and refreshments for all participants. Even if you don’t want to run, there is plenty of fun for all. Road closures for the race will start around 9:45 a.m. and continue until 11 a.m., and will include portions of West Berlin, Wattaquadock Hill, and Sawyer roads. LIBRARY BOOK SALE
Head to apple country on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 15 and 16, for a “Bushel of Books” at the semiannual Friends of the Bolton Public Library Book Sale. The sale will take place at the Houghton Building, 697 Main St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday There are more than 10,000 books sorted and “not picked over,” as well as games, puzzles, LPs, CDs and DVDs.

The book sale is the Friends’ largest fundraiser. Proceeds from the sale support programs, events, online magazines, and museum passes at the library, as well as the online newsletter Wowbrary.

COLLEGE ADMISSIONS/FINANCING SEMINARS
The Nashoba Regional High School Guidance Office will host a Mass. state college fair and seminars on college admissions and financing on Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nashoba Regional High School auditorium and gymnasium
